This is a car that is certainly worthy of Thundering Cobra praise! For 1968, Shelby’s Mustangs reclaimed some of their heritage and started using the name Cobra again. 1968 would also serve as the final year that Carroll Shelby would be involved in the development of the cars which bore his name and by that time Ford was asserting a more pronounced influence. Thus, the 1968 Shelby Cobra GT350, along with the year’s GT500, are the last true Carroll Shelby designed Mustangs of the former era. This GT350, finished in the original Ford Sunlit Gold paint, is outfitted with a Paxton supercharger adding an additional 68 HP to the 250 HP rating of the Ford 302 engine.
